Explore expressive sketching through colour, people and play
I’m very happy to announce COLORAMA !, a three-day urban sketching workshop taking place in Zug, Switzerland, from 9 to 11 October 2026, with The Sketch House.
COLORAMA ! explores colour as a tool for building expressive sketches and telling stories.
Colour, people and everyday scenes
Through playful experiments, limited palettes and mixed media, we will explore how colour can create depth, atmosphere and rhythm, rather than simply reproduce what we see.
A particular focus will be given to people and everyday scenes: learning how to simplify figures into expressive shapes, use colour to make them stand out or blend into their surroundings, and create connections between characters and their environment.
A space to experiment
The workshop will combine demonstrations, short exercises and longer personal projects. There will be plenty of time to experiment, test colour combinations and gradually develop your own visual language.
All levels welcome
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced sketcher, you are welcome. The exercises can be adapted to each participant’s experience and approach.
COLORAMA ! is an invitation to explore, step outside your usual habits and enjoy drawing with colour.
