These sketches grew out of a return to Cerdanya, a region that holds a special place in my journey.

I came back to prepare Carnets de Cerdanya, a Franco-Catalan drawing event that we organise on both sides of the border. The trip was also an opportunity to revisit familiar landscapes: I lived in Sainte-Léocadie for several years and worked at the Musée de Cerdagne.

Between scouting locations, car journeys, villages, mountains and wide blue skies, I rediscovered the pleasure of drawing a region I know intimately. This sketchbook brings together these moments of observation, everyday scenes and fragments of a landscape to which I remain deeply attached.
